Fennec for Windows Mobile- Review and Screenshots

Mobile version of the popular web browser Firefox, called as Fennec, is under development and Mozilla team has released the alpha version of this browser for Windows Mobile. Mozilla plans to develop a full fledged browser with support for add-on with Fennec. The interface of Fennec is really good when compared to Opera Mobile which is available for Windows Mobile.
Fennec looks great and has lots of features present in the desktop version. The version we tested on Xperia was little slow to respond on touch screen. The arrangement of tabs are very neatly done and so are the settings menu. The browser has buttons on both sides of the web window, the right hand side comprises of favorites button and the back and forward buttons.
There are separate tabs for add-on management and also the settings menu. Coming to the speed of browsing, we felt that it was slow when compared to Opera mobile and this could be attributed to the fact that it is still in alpha version.
Here are some of the screenshots of Fennec running on XPERIA with Windows Mobile 6.1.

With Opera Mobile releasing its new version 9.5 with turbo feature, Fennec will face stiff competition from Opera. We will wait and see for a better build from Mozilla to see the performance.
